Runners to watch (04/04)

Cocky Raider

After an un-satisfactory run, Cocky Raider was sent for a spell and gelded. First up after trialling well, the two year old stormed home from near last on the turn, circling the field and finishing a length second behind 'Do You Think'.

Certainly a horse on the rise, the 1400m of the Sires Produce and the 1600m of the Champagne Stakes certainly look viable options.

King Gladiator

This son of Galileo really caught the eye when finishing strongly behind 'Fast Clip' in the 2000m Tulloch stakes.

King Gladiator came from 10th at the 400m mark, and after changing direction numerous times in the straight was only beaten 2.7 lengths by the winner.

He should now relish the step up to the 2500m of the Derby this weekend, and will certainly be right in the finish.

Triple Elegance

Weight For Age was always going to be a real test for the improving galloper, and after slightly over racing in the middle stages of the race, Triple Elegance proved he was up to the highest level finishing a close-up third.

He now drops 7.5kg from that run for the Doncaster Handicap in two weeks and looks perfectly placed to give the great mare 'More Joyous' a real shake.
