Race Five
5.Mental - 10.Sea Siren - 1.Buffering - 15.Snitzerland

Without a superstar the likes of Black Caviar running around in this years Million Dollar Patinack Classic, the door has been left ajar for a new superstar to fill our front pages. Hallowell Belle appears to be the most photogenic horse, however I can't tip her on that fact alone. Mental was super behind Sea Siren last start at Moonee Valley in the Group 1 Manikato, and the wide expanses of Flemington will certainly suit this long strider. I'm expecting a strong pace with Snitzerland in the race, so watch for him storming home late. The aforementioned Sea Siren will be right in the finish alongside the lightly raced colt and I'm expecting high class warhorse Buffering to bounce back after being slightly disappointing last start.

Race Six
6.Ambidexter - 10.Fawkner - 8.Secret Admirer - 17.Free Wheeling

The 2012 edition of the Emirates Stakes doesn't appear to be the draw card as it has been in previous years, but as always, picking the winners doesn't get any easier. I am sticking with Ambidexter even after what appeared to be a fairly plain run last start. With legs flailing in all directions, it seemed that he didn't handle the tight turning Moonee Valley track at all, so coming to Flemington looks to be a big bonus. As I have previously mentioned, he has always shown a huge amount of talent and has always been competitive at the highest level. Fawkner has come on leaps and bounds this preparation and is one of my favourites as you all know. From barrier 7 he should get an easy run and will bounding down the middle late alongside my top pick. There's really only a squirrels moustache between them. One of my other favourites Secret Admirer was unlucky not to win when third last start, and will be highly competitive again, although has some work to do from the outside barrier. Now that Free Wheeling has gained a run he is a must for all multiples and will be flashing home late. Smokin Joey and Playing God certainly aren't the worst $31 shots going around and could be the blowout chances.

Race Seven

Race Eight
9.Vatuvei - 2.Shahwardi - 11.Puissance De Lune - 8.Lightinthenite

Race Nine
11.Under The Hat - 2.Instinction - 3.Utah Saints - 10.Snow Cover
